Well first of all I know that one does not have to be catholic in order to respect the Pope. The Pope is a man of God and that is all that should matter regardless of his religious domination. Bush on the other hand......well I think you get the point.

Not really. The pope is not really considered "holy" outside the Catholic religion. I do think he deserves respect and "sir" is respectful. The pope is really just a human being.

The man is a moron. The only thing you can expect to come out of his mouth is stupidity.

Hell, even the Queen of England dogged on his ass at the big dinner they had in her honor when she came to the United States. It was great!

He's just a plain out idiot in my opinion.

Well he probably thought he was being respectful, but he is the president and an ambassador of our country, so you NEED to know everything about your fellow leaders. So yea, he goofed(what's new).
