Do they need to get somebody, trade, let somebody go or just need to improve in some areas.

They need a legitimate low post threat. Their inside game was almost non-existent against the Warriors. Dirk is not a true low post threat, he is a shooter first and foremost.

They could move to the East and win 70 games each year. Okay, seriously, they just need Dirk the Jerk Nowitski to grow a pair and stop shooting jumpers all the time. Plus he should be in the weight room as we speak and he should be lifting until his arms hurt. The Mavs lost to quicker team because Avery Johnson wanted to change his line-up in the 1st game and for what? He was basically saying that he was scared of getting ran to death by a more athletic team instead of just pounding the ball inside and doing some damage. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

I don't think that they really need to do anything...except maybe add another scorer off the bench to assist Stackhouse...but re-signing him should be a priority since he's been very solid off the bench for the Mavs.
2nd Avery Johnson was out coached by Don Nelson, he should have employed a strategy to slow down the Warriors, but instead they chose to run with them. He needs to employ the right strategy for the right opponent.
But, I'd be very afraid for the league next season because Dallas will the hungriest team coming into the season.

I don't know. I was floored when the Warriors eliminated them. I knew we could take the Suns but I was worried about the Mavs. Nowitski buckled under pressure didn't he.
BTW, San Antonio will always love Avery. He is our Little General.
