WHAT? Nonsense. While humans can easily give turtles cold-like viruses and a few other things, there is NO WAY to transmit CANCER between ANY living creatures via touch- cancer is NOT transmitted that way in any way, shape, or form.

This does not mean it is smart to touch turtles. You might pick up Salmonella (not a big deal, but an avoidable annoyance) or cause the poor turtle great stress.

Turtles do not generally get cancer, and billions of people have had pet turtles- if this had ANY truth to it, it would be well known by now.

Someone is either pulling your leg, or they are misinformed.
