Everyone is alive. It's the show that's been dead for the last two seasons.

Tony is alive.
He walks into the restaurant and they show a closeup of his face. He could be looking to see if his family has arrived, or for an open table, but his look is more serious than that. Then they jump immediately to him sitting at a table - coat off, looking at the jukebox, already having ordered onion rings apparently. My IMMEDIATE and natural reaction to his look and that jump was that he was envisioning something that could happen, that he was playing out a scenario in his mind. Everything following suggests dream-like interactions with his family. The way he greeted Carmela with a "hey" ... the way AJ suddenly seemed not suicidal/depressed, they way he DID NOT pay attention to the Members-Only Guy. He was playing out in his head what could happen in that scenario, if he tried to relax and have a "normal" life.
If they did not show the closeup of his face as he scanned the restaurant, along with the jump to him sitting at the booth, I would think that he was dead. The instant black was the moment the Members-Only Guy came out of the bathroom when Tony wasn't looking and shot Tony in the head. Follow the sequence of: close up of Tony's face, bell above door rings, POV shot of Tony looking at door. Happened repeatedly, except for this last time when we know Meadow was walking in. The black was Tony's POV, but he was dead, never having heard the shot or seen it coming.
As far as the jump cut being in the style of Kubrick/2001: A Space Odyssey ... sorry, you don't get to do that suddenly after 85 episodes of a completely different style.

NO HE IS NOT...
the guy got the gun from the bathroom and when Tony was looking at Meadow he was whacked
in the first episode of the season Bobby said "i wonder what its like to die" and Tony said "it all goes black"
also did you realize that the music stopped and everything
