However, black people are also more likely to live in urban areas, live under the poverty level, be involved in gangs, drop out of high school, and have children out of wedlock, all of which increase the likelihood that they will end up in prison.

The last figure I heard out them in the highest percentage of any race. I think that it was close to 50%
