Watch anything that has the word "Fair" in it's title. The system works now, just enforce the existing laws as they be.

Yes, absolutely!
The Fair tax is not an income tax! The constitution actually allows for only two forms of taxation....The first one is an indirect tax on consumption which is uniform all over the country. The second is a direct tax that is proportioned by population. The income tax is neither of these. The Fair tax is a indirect consumption tax!
Everyone who does not really understand it, should really check it out! I am in favor of the fair tax, but I am against the so called flat tax, because it is still an income tax, and I think income tax is just wrong....in every way! *sm*

I think it is an interesting proposal. It would require an amendment to the United States Constitution to allow the Federal government to collect sales taxes, a power that it currently does not have. I did a little reading and got the basic idea. Here is a page that gives the basics.

Fair Tax is just that. It's Fair. The more you make, the more you pay. I can't understand how anyone could be against this. It eliminates all of the loopholes that people are constantly whining about.
If you make 22,000.00 a year and are taxed at 22%, you'll pay 4,840.00.
If you make 220,000.00 a year and are taxed at 22%, you'll pay 48,400.00. How is that NOT fair?
The higher the income, the more that is paid.

definitively. it keeps capital in the country (as i heard Mike Huckabee explain). because you're not getting taxed for your assets but for what you actually move around or spend. that is much better because it is easier to account for your money. Being taxed over your revenue is ridiculous cuz people might actually try to make less money to avoid a bigger tax. in fact, in many European countries (northern), they give a ton of money to charities or organizations to avoid taxes. its a ridiculous thing cuz the money just keeps flowing out of the country.

No - just because you give something a name saying it is fair - doesn't mean it is (look at Faux News).
Taxing the poor at a higher effective rate - while encouraging unregulated black markets will not produce a better economy nor a fairer society.

Steal money from the rich the less they have to invest into the economy and make it grow. The poor are sitting on the couch producing nothing, the rich are giving them jobs. Wealth is produced by one thing "growth", just take a look at Brazil, Russia, India, China, and Middle East, they are growing like weeds, US not so much. Bernanke has made our dollar weak enough, no need to add fuel to the fire.
