Go to lowes, home depot or some other hardware store and purchase a pack of coping saw blades, the smallest you can find. Using a two pair of pliers, break the blade off at the first tooth on the end where the teeth are pointing back at you. Now insert the end of the blade in beside the broken key and pull back. Hopefully the key will come back with it. If not, keep trying. I have done this many times and it's the same thing a locksmith uses to remove broken keys.

Take a paper clip, straighten our one side. Now bend the end at 90 degrees, it show be about 1/16" now use it to fish the key out. A pair of tweezers sometimes works to get a hold of the key. Or a very thin small pair of needle noise pliers. The point of a safety pin , ice pick, bobby pin, lots of things can be used. Keep trying until you find something that works.

Good answers so far, but, another thing to try, if all others fail, use a VERY small amount of JB weld to attach the head to the piece broken off in the ignition, be careful you don't get anything glued to the ignition itself. However, if you don't have another key, you'll need a locksmith anways, so thats probably your best bet.

I hate to say get a pair of needle-nosed pliers. I'll assume you have tried that. My wife is a dental hygienist and she has some great instruments for cleaning teeth that will get in there and hook the key and help you pull it out enough to get those needle-nosed pliers on it. Now you just have to have a friend that's' a Dentist or a hygienist.

Make your own mini needle nose tool . You will need a cork from a wine bottle and 2 medium sized sewing needles. Push needles into opposite side of cork so they extend out of the cork end and cross each other. You have now made a mini needle nose tool that has strength to grip key for removal. This has worked for me several times. Good-luck.

go to a crafts store or well stocked hardware store and get the smallest thinnest pair of needle nose pliers you can find. If you can get just a little bit of purchase on the rear end of the broken key and you have a strong grip you should be able to get it out.

if you can get a hold of a real good pair of needle nose pliers, the locking type they might get a hold of it good enough to pull it out other wise, its going to be hard to do,it all depends on how much of it is left in it,i once got one out with a pair of tweezers, but today's lock assembly's are a lot different,if you cant get it out,you may have to remove the lock to disassemble it,good luck on it.

Use something non-permanent that is sticky and pull it out gently. You could try a stick of gum but I'd try putty of some sort.
