I think Chase left the episode like he did for exactly the reason we are talking about now. To keep us ALL talking about it ... well basically... forever. My thoughts are that Tony was actually killed. Thats why the last thing he saw was Meadow and then BLACK. But really who knows... the whole scene was really just a peaceful dinner with his family with the overtones of something bad ready to happen. Again.. we'll never really now but debate it and discuss it forever... exactly what David Chase was trying to do

Disappointing, just like the last 4 seasons were. Good riddance! I am having HBO turned off.

I was totally ready for some big send off, and nothing really happened except for Phil getting whacked.
