the key was turned to the accessories position and somehow the key came out, it was left that way for 2 days, the battery is dead, I tried to jump start it, it wanted to start a couple of times, but wouldn't. The vehicle is a Dodge Dakota

that's about it unless it did damage to the fuel pump on it,there's also the possibility it might have burnt out the relay for the fuel pump also,i have seen this have happen before without it doing any damage to anything besides the battery,good luck with it.

Recharge the battery, and you should be fine. I doubt if it did any long term damage to the car. good luck

try a new battery and then see what happens
