Even the smallest of decisions were hard. Did I expect to much from here, when I thought she would have all the things done that could have been done the night before? The reason for my question is I wanted to wake up and get dressed and stay calm with no rushing around or having any more stress put on myself.

My husband was left to do a lot of things when I had a few deaths in my family (My mom, my nephew (16), my niece (23). Don't be too tough on your wife. She probably wanted to do her best but was just freaking out or wanting to be there for you.

I learned that you have to be clear about what you want with your spouse, even in trying times. It's easy to beat up on everyone else (and I know it's not intentional). I did the same thing. I wasn't really angry at my husband. I was mad at the world. I hope that you can find it in your heart to let it go and be kind to your wife. I finally did, but not soon enough.

Sorry about your loss.

She is your wife of 13 years she should know well enough to have helped with this I dont care how undesisive she is. Its simple do what ever it takes to make your spouse comfortable every day and they will do the same in return. That is how it should be. She should have stepped up. I am sorry for your lose and you are in my prayers. I lost my dad 3 years ago. You need to talk to her and let her know how you feel it is time she stepped up.

Yes. It doesn't make sense that she would change her habits and personality overnight simply because you were in need. As someone who is terribly indecisive and unorganized myself, I'll have to guess that if she could be more happy, calm, organized and decisive she would be.

Why would you expect her to be any different then she normally is? It would have been nice if she had been but that wouldn't be your reality. Sorry about your Dad I know how hard it is, I lost my Mom. My deepest sympathy.

Yes.
The death of one person does not change the personality of another.
