I have that problem too, and I solve it by doing one or two 'mini-pedicures' every week, and believe me, my feet are fantastic! First, you need: 1. A pumice stone, which is an exfoliating stone you can buy at most drugstores 2. A good moisturiser 3. A pair of old socks 4. A couple of plastic bags (produce bags are ideal) 5. Some olive oil or other oil 6. Hand/foot grooming tools, like a cuticle pusher, nail file and nail clipper. I do this in the shower because I HATE sitting around with my feet soaking in water. It saves time also. You can do it by soaking your feet the usual way if you like. On a day when you have to do EVERYTHING in the shower (wash your hair, shave, etc), plug the shower drain so the water collects, and bathe as usual. Your feet will soak while you're showering. Then sit down somewhere, preferably on the edge of the tub, and thoroughly pumice off as much of your dead skin as possible. This only takes a few minutes. Then thoroughly wash your feet, rinse them and dry them. Right away, while your cuticles and nails are soft, push back your cuticles, clip and file your nails, and - THIS IS IMPORTANT!! - file the top of your nails too, because this smooths out the ridges and removes discolouration. Apply a generous amount of moisturiser and oil, stick your feet into the plastic bags, and cover your feet with the socks. Let your feet 'soak' in the moisturiser bath for an hour at least, or as long as you can stand it.

There is a type of oil for cracked heels at drug stores. I am not sure what it is called, but you can ask one of the employees for it. You apply it to your heels and wrap your feet in a plastic bag for 10 mins. and the layers of dry, crusty skin peel off and leave smooth, fresh skin.

Start off by preparing a small basin with warm water to soak feet. "Add a little milk," says Hadley. "It's naturally exfoliating and nourishing." Before taking a dip, make sure feet are sprayed with an antiseptic, and that nail polish is removed. Next, "lightly shape your toes by cutting back nails slightly," instructs Hadley, "and massage toes and feet with cream or oil." Let feet soak for a few minutes, and then push back the cuticles (cutting them can create more hangnails). After you've taken care of your cuticles, work on smoothing the actual nail by lightly buffing the nail plate, prepping the nail first with a cuticle cream or conditioner. "Never buff the nails when they're dry," Hadley adds.
Once you've worked the nail to natural luster, apply a foot scrub to remove dead skin, paying extra attention to the rough spots on the heels. "Avoid using pumice stones since they trap bacteria," notes Hadley, "Instead, try a diamond file." If you have blisters, leave them for the professionals (you'll end up doing more harm than good if you try to pop them). After feet are fully exfoliated, rinse, moisturize with a non-greasy lotion, and begin painting. According to Hadley, the hottest trend for nails in general this summer is dazzling, shimmery shades. For an easy transition from winter's moody shades to subtle summer hues, "try a nice sheer pink with a metallic tip," suggests Hadley. With a pedicure regimen like this, you'll be walking on sunshine all summer long!—MAURA LYNCH

I use something called Flexitol Heel Balm every morning and night. Its helped my heels A LOT! I'm always in sandals or barefoot for taekwondo (major killer on my feet) but this stuff keeps them looking nice. When I don't use it mine do the same thing and it HURTS! But in a day of using this they feel LOTS better! I found mine at Albertson's.

I have heard of this problem the best thing to do is to go to the chemist and ask them for something that can make it better. The cream they will give you will make it smooth in no time maybe a few weeks or so. good luck!
