Did the printer come with a disk (CD or floppy, usually today it is a CD)? If you do have the disk, then insert it into your Dell computer and follow the on-screen directions to set up your printer. If you do not have the disk, then you need to contact Dell and tell them that you have the printer, but you didn't get the set-up disk. Hopefully, Dell will give you the disk for free if you prove that you have the printer. Also be specific about which printer it is when talking to Dell, it is a Dell Photo Printer 924, so tell them that. The only other problem possible is that you are not using a Dell computer and the software won't work on it. If you are using a Dell computer, you have the printer, and you have the set-up disk, you should be ready to set-up and use your printer. Also check this site for other drivers needed for your printer:

You have to log in to Dell's web site with your Service Tag number First.
Then, you can get the drivers for your printer in the support section.
