Assume that question is:-
(1/3).(9 - 4)
= (1/3) x 5
= 5 / 3
Reciprocal = 3 / 5

As you have written the question it could be:-
1 / (3 x 5)
= 1 / 15
Reciprocal = 15

You choose but we really shouldn`t have to guess what the question might be!

What?

Are you saying "Find the reciprocal of 1/3 times the difference of 9 - 4?" If so, here...

1/3(9-4) = 1/3(5) = 5/3

The reciprocal of that is 3/5.

If you are asking, "What is the reciprocal of 1/3 and what is the difference of 9 minus 4?" then here...

1/3, reciprocal = 3/1 = 3

9 - 4 = 5

You need to be more specific next time.

***Hint: The reciprocal does not involve changing the number's sign. It simply means to flip the number upside down.***

(-3 / 5) is the answer
i think theyre just asking you to solve it, then find its reciprocal. so if you solve the expression (1/3) of (9-4) you get (5 / 3) and the reciprocal is (-3 / 5).

i hope i'm right!
