I am amazed at how many suckers you got to actually buy into this joke. Besides, given that his name was Jesus, he spoke Spanish and worked at Taco Bell.

Maybe if he was speaking through King James, but then again, the Olde Englisch version of the bible is totally unreadable against today's version of the English language.

But as I recall, Jesus likely spoke Aramaic, probably some Latin, and Hebrew was a possibility too.

But I don't think English existed back then, do you?

Anyway, regardless English is and should remain the official language of the US of A.

I'm usually with you, but Jesus spoke Aramaic. That's beside the point. We should have English as our official language to be able to communicate and do business.

As many other folks have pointed out, Jesus didn't speak English.

IAnd as an aside - just because we have people who speak other languages in this country doesn't mean preclude them from speaking Engllish. Bilingualism/multilingualism shouldn't be threatening to Americans. Many Dutch are multilingual and they don't seem to be divided as a nation than any other country. What divides people isn't language or culture, it's really the exclusion or disrespect given linguistic or cultural groups, and then they rally around language or cultural identity to fight for respect. So actually all these "English only" calls are actually more divisive.

The English language didn't exist at the time of Jesus. He spoke Aramaic and Hebrew as most Jews did in His time and place.

How ignorant are you? While it should be our official language, Jesus did not speak it. The King James version of the bible is named that because King James was the person who had it translated INTO English.

particular. Jesus paid the ideal fee for sins. Jesus is God and the only way into heaven. John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, i'm the way, the actuality, and the existence: no guy cometh unto the daddy, yet by potential of me." absolutely everyone has the possibility to get saved and everybody desires saved so get saved now. =) Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the call of the Lord would be saved." Please pray a common prayer with all your heart admitting to Jesus you're a sinner. Have finished faith that His blood will pay off all your sins and settle for His present of eternal existence. I pray that God blesses you with peace. Amen.

Most scholars believe that Jesus spoke Aramaic, not English.

But I'd have to agree that when you move to a new country, it is your responsibility to learn the language of the land.

LOL - Jesus spoke Aramaic as someone already stated. Are you really as ignorant as you seem or are you putting us on -- any Bible in English was translated from Greek (New Testament) and Hebrew (Old Testament).
