How many single people are there in the world?

I wonder if such number is available. Except for minors, how many single people are there?

Thousands of people hook-up and break-up every seccond all over the world. There is no way to even estimate the number at any given time. If you want to know the amount in a country, there is at least a closer estimate, but I couldn't tell you.

What's the problem? Are you wondering why you are still single? It's not because there are not enough single people, it's because of the type of questions you ask.
