I still like their mashed potatoes and gravy and their cole slaw, but their chicken is not as good as it used to be. I work at a Mc Donald's here in Washington state and we are in the same parking lot as KFC and their manager gets food from us to take to his family when they close for the night.

Are you talking about since they've eliminated trans fats, or from longer ago?
I managed a KFC back in the late 1970s. In those days, cooked chicken was kept in CresCor warming cabinets, which I think kept the chicken from getting so greasy. I don't like it now that they just put the chicken under heat lamps.
I also think that they must have changed their breading procedures (or they're just not following them). The worst part is that they've made the Extra Crispy too spicy.
The side dishes are pretty bad too, we made most of them from scratch back then (including gravy). The only things that are still as good as the old days are the biscuits (very good!) and the little bucket desserts.

I use to work in KFC years ago when I was first married. I don't like the change they made in the chicken. The original recipt was the best. I like it and the bbq too. I agree it does not taste the way it use to. I have not eaten it in a while because of the difference in taste. have nice day

That's because they have been using preformed chicken parts in their strips and cut their regular chicken in ways so that what you mostly get is skin, fat and bone for years now. Do yourself a favor, get some skinless chicken breasts and cook them yourself in a good quality oil or in the oven. You will never go back to KFC again. Eat real food.

I used to work at KFC. Not a bad place to work. But I just got so sick of there food. I havent tasted the way it tastes now tho.

I've promised to never eat KFC again. I prefer Popeye's Chicken. KFC is no good, they just have more restaurants and they market better.

no. it taste like crap now it use to be the best chicken around and why would you eat that crap did you not see the news report about all the rats and roaches found in the kfc resteraunt in ny it was sooooooooo nasty i wouldn't let my dog eat it

It's ok, but it definately not the same. Not to mention if you eat at the one down the street you'll get food poisoning.
