Do they like one other, are they jealous of one another, or do they just detest one another?

I wish they would compromise and run together, I think that they would have better chances of defeating the Republicans, and Edwards, I don't want Edwards to win...

Well, they are pleasant and respectful to each other from all accounts. They are definitely the Democratic Dream Team for '08 and surely the Dem powers that be know that. A ticket together is not out of the question, though I think that due to Hillary's deeper resume and better qualifications it would be Clinton/Obama. The running mates do not always necessarily like each other - but once put on the same ticket they do work together. For instance JFK and Lyndon Johnson couldn't stand each other from most accounts, but the party saw that combination as the winning one. The same thing could well happen with Clinton and Obama, together they'd be almost impossible to beat.

Obama has come out of left field and really screwed Ms. Clinton's chances. It would not matter if he was white but a black man is much more formidable. Even though he has absolutely no experience and has only been a senator for half a term the fact that he is black automatically makes him a formidable foe for Hillary.

She cannot attack him for a lack of experience since the only elected office she has held is junior senator from NY for one term herself. She cannot play the sexist card because he can trump with the racist card. She must win the presidency this time or she will never have another chance and will be too old. If he wins the primary he becomes an historic figure even if he does not win the election. He is also young enough to run several more times.

It makes Hillary's task much more difficult. In order to win the nomination, democratic candidates have to pretend to be far left wingers. To win the election they have to convince everyone that they are moderate.

That limits how far she can go to win the primary but it does not limit Obama. She is far more desperate to win than he is.

It makes him look much more confident.

Hillary is much smarter and far more experienced politically than Baracka Hussein Obama. Obama has failed or refused to make full disclosure re his past affiliation and connection with the Muslim/Islamic faith. Also, his politically inspired membership in a racist Chicago church has not received deserved scrutiny by the media. He is a "polly parrot" politician and has not said anything of substance to date, and only recites the worn out political platitudes and spiels of yesterday. I believe that both will self-destruct before November,2008.
