So many women I know, like me cause I am so "intelligent". Honestly I read a lot and talk a lot in lectures. I'd much rather have a girl who is more intelligent then me, then the other way around. Maybe I'm being silly, maybe I should get over it and go with it.

people who correct grammar are not intelligent. There is no link between syntax and grammar and intelligence, its just a rule based on a process, that is controlled by simpler parts of the brain. My sociology professor is a phd and she is a crap speller, case in point. I bet gorge w has great spelling.

By the way just so people have a bit more history on this, I am working with a all girl team at the moment, and they are all very intelligent, and I have been thinking, where have you all been hiding???? Mind you, women out number men 2/3, so its likely I need a different social circle to meet people. I'm not being an intellectual snob and I don't think its hard finding smart women at all, Its just very erotic to talk to women smarter than I am, and I don't find it fun when women are always being agreeable with me, mind you there does seem to be a lot of debate here, so maybe the key is to say something that will get me in a bit of hot water aye?

Yes, you are being silly and yes, you should get over it. Once you are out in the real world, and I am assuming you are in college with your talk of lectures, or possibly even high school still, you will meet a whole new kind of woman. The kind that will not hold back her intelligence for the sake of possibly getting a date with you. The kind of woman who is going to get that promotion over you because you underestimated her. Then you will think back to this question and realize real women do not hold back.

OK to understand, change "intelligence" to weight. Would you, (I'm guessing) a 150 man, think a woman would want to be seen with you while she's 476 pounds? She'd feel so huge compared to you. That's how women feel about their brain. They want a guy that can "rescue" them and support them. It's the same thing with Military ranks (dating, no marriage of two people in the MIlitary allowed) or jobs. Would a woman working for Windows want to date a guy making $3 an hour at Gasmart? Nope.

Get over it, dude. We do not all like men who think they are more intelligent than us. We do [most of us] like men who are as intelligent as us and can carry on a decent conversation, not try to overwhelm us with brilliance, which generally makes you look like know it alls anyhow. Also intelligence is not always a matter of how well you can give a talk or lecture, as there are many forms of intelligence.

No, honey, it's not that they like men MORE intelligent than they are. They like men who are intelligent period. They need someone to relate to on their own level.
All that reading, and going to lectures makes you interesting, and not boring. It shows that you are more mature than your peers, and that is what is attracting those girls to you.
More than likely, the girls you are attracting aren't really not as intelligent as you. Girls often play dumb to make the guy feel better. They may not realize that they don't have to play dumb with you.

Well, just because someone admires your intelligence doesn't mean she wants her mate to be more intelligent. However, since you say you want someone who is more intelligent than you, perhaps the women you meet want someone who will stimulate and challenge them as well.
