I'm in the U.K. so I've no idea where you could buy a large aquarium, but large to me is 48x24x24 and above, so you would need to go to a local fish shop. The only reason I'm really answering because some suggests using DISTILLED WATER, DO NOT.
Distilled water has had all minerals removed, some of which the fish require, some of which effect the water in other ways the most significant is the removal of the buffering agents, in other words you can get massive pH swings for no reason, this is almost always fatal to fish because without those buffering agents your pH can move from 3 to 10 and back in literally hours. If used for partial water changes you still run the risk of insufficient agents being present in the water.

If you need to buy water find a supplier with R.O. water and mix with tap water at 75/25 pct ratio or use a buffering agent you can usually buy pH up and down from reputable dealers, but please don't use distilled water.

If you want the "service after the sale" type of advice look for a privately owned pet shop. Your initial investment may be a little more, but it will save you money in the long run.
In the medium-sized tanks,50 to 75 gallons, All Glass and Perfecto are OK. Larger than 75 I like Oceanic. Some of the larger acrylic tanks are good(I have a friend who really likes his custom 900 gallon.) but I'm not familiar with the brands.

I hope your smart enough not to use destilled water. Otherwise your gonna find out the hard way that its not the right choice.
Look at www.craigslist.com for used aquariums if your out looking for a deal.

check the net, check local newspapers for people who are selling too. We usually see quite a few around here. Also, just a tip when you do get one and get it set-up. Use distilled bottled water because it has a perfect 7.0 ph. We spent alot of money on drops of all kinds and the water here was not good, it would go up and down and all over. Once we switched to the distilled we never had another problem. Good luck...

Petsmart is a great store to shop for tanks, and they are cheaper then Petco if you have one near you.
Good luck
