I was really confused by the ending, but I like the theory that they are just sitting there eating onion rings; very normal, very family. Blank screen represents the hit. In any case, they did do a brilliant job. Phones are ringing, blogs are blogging and we are BITC#ING!!! LOL ...The machine keeps spinning.

As far as all of us kvetching about the ending, the show has been so popular any ending would garner zillions of comments. But THIS ending was like being hit over the head, passing out, coming to, and wondering what just happened. I do not consider it a stroke of genius by the producers when they blank out the screen. Are they sparing us? Or are they planting the seed of a movie? Suck is a four-letter word and it is so appropriate to use to describe this finale. Having voiced my frustration on this and other posts tonight, I am slightly relieved to be spared the sight of the Soprano family being whacked---if that is what happened. Okay, I must get back to the real world. But tell me this: what was the meaning of Meadow arriving late in the restaurant? Bye.

I agree. It seems the whole country is talking about the ending and what they think happened. There are too many unanswered questions still (AJ's future, Paulie and the cat, the Feds, the NY/NJ war, Uncle Junior, etc.). A copout!
