Okay you big babies....?

Question

I just finished a question that made me think.
Some poeple get so offended by what people say when people take the time to respond to their questions. That people who are not nice should leave the site and get a life. Which is a good point for some.
But, what about free speech? As Americans, we know these days people can sue for any reason. Flipping someone off can get you a ticket for invoking road rage. But, here, we can speak our minds and should without a sensitive few on the never ending violation committee trying to cost us points.
What big cry babies you are!

Hey, I freely admit I can give some very harsh replies. I have lost points over it. No big deal. I am just saying people should be able to speak their minds.

I am someone who tries, I said tries to give every question that I answer the same thought that I would hope others would give my questions. Because this forum is largely anonymous I feel free to be as honest as I would like without trying to sugar coat anything. That tends to make me blunt but to make that easier to take I stick to adult language not cursing.

I do draw the line on these questions that are blatant about child abuse but as a human I feel that that is my responsibility and I would want a stranger to stand up for my kids if they really felt that something was wrong.

Now you are making me think!

No babies here. I'm all for free speech. I feel if certain people don't like what they see, well, then they shouldn't be here answering questions. It really is a sad state when you can't speak your mind without worrying about retaliation. If these people want censorship, then maybe they ought to move to a different country, instead of being in the Land Of The Free. God Bless.

I agree that you should be able to speak your mind here. I don't agree with people going out of their way to be mean. I believe that everyone has a right to an opinion. The problem is that if someone doesn't like your opinion, they think you are being "mean" and "rude" when all you are really doing is speaking your mind....

I agree with you, I rather enjoy frank, blunt people saying frank, blunt things to each other. It saves time. So screw off! ;)

EDIT-Everyone has the freedom of speech, but you have to deal with the consequences. Sometimes those consequences are others not agreeing with you or believing you are out of line. That's their freedom.

You either believe freedom of speech, or you don't. This isn't a one way street.
