Can someone win chess if the other player moves their king in the path of winning and I call Check or Checkmate even though there was a different place he could have moved but didn't realize it and already took his hand off the king?

If an illegal move has been made (which might be of a piece other than the king, which denudes the king of a piece protecting him from check i.e, the illegality could consist of leaving the king in check rather than moving into check) then it must be retracted and a legal move with the piece that was touched made instead (if there is such a move available).

If there is no such move available, then the illegal move must still be retracted but the player may move any of his pieces and pawns that have legal moves available to them, without restriction and without penalty.

It is irrelevant whether the player making the illegal move has let go the piece in question. What matters is the fact that he has touched it and is thereby committed to moving it (if it has legal moves it can make).

It is illegal to place your own king under attack. Some people who play speed chess will take your king and win the game, but you could also call it a win because of the illegal move. So, the answer really is no, because he would have to move to a square that is not being attacked.

No. It's actually an illegal move to move your own king into check/checkmate. Even if he took his hand off already, its a violation of the rules and he must move again.

Checkmate

If your opponent moves their King into check, the move is illegal and must be taken back.

If your opponent moves their King onto a square legally, but will allow you to mate, that is the breaks of the game. They blundered, or you played well or a bit of both.

No, you warn them that they are moving into check and they have to move to another position, the only way you can win is to capture his King and that has to be done without a way out, sounds like your only one move away anyway.

You or your opponent may never put your king in check or checkmate.

Also, If the opponents king is in check by you, the next move must be: your opponent moving his king out of harms way or him killing the aggressing piece thats coming after his king.

Its an illegal move he will HAVE to move it to the only spot he could until the king CANNOT move anywhere without getting in the path of another piece.

you are not allowed to move your king into any square that is being threatened by an enemy piece. That move he made was illegal, regardless of whether his hand has left the piece or not. He should take it back, and most likely he won't repeat the same mistake after that.
