You are all stupid...sopranos?

Question

i had to get your attention.....but dont you get it?! the writers are geniuses! look at all the postings of people hating the ending or loving it or trying to interpret it.....this is gonna be looked at years down the line as one of the best endings to a show...i have no question..just wanna get that clear and perhaps see what else people have to say

i see that some of you still dont get it....it is true that whatever ending they gave it would receive some type of uproar, but by ending it with a specific conclusion will only allow people to either like the ending or dislike it...so by ending it this way you allow(or force) people to use their imaginations and people will be talking about this non-stop for months possibly years... i would be proud if it were my creation because it will leave people talking and it will leave a lasting legacy even if it means dissapointing people....

people were going to be disappointed no matter what...you cant please em all...so why not get people talking with this ending?

Good point. I think they left the ending open so people can come to their own conclusions-Tony and his family are killed at the diner by one of the patrons who is one of Phil's henchmen to avenge his death or they go into witness protection and work with the feds, etc.

We know this has been a award winning series, and have
faithfully watched this show on HBO since the start of the
series.
This ending left quite a few loose ties and we want it sewn up
one way or the other. I would like to now see The Sopranos
Movie to finish off many of the story lines. It should be shown
on HBO . I am glad they didn't kill off Tony , but the ending was
no ending.
One more thing , I don't think anyone on here is very stupid,
if you want answers you could be nicer in getting our attention.

i would disagree. this discussion is not about the merits of the show or how complex the ending is. it seems everyone pretty much thought it sucked. that's the discussion. if i were the writer, i would probably not want to have people trashing it like this.

so geniuses they're not. if they were they would have ended the show long ago. see The Wire. one more season because they know when things have gone too far... hyped too much.

put an ending on the show for gods sake.

This series was so well-written that it deserved a place in history with a well-written, well-planned ending. This was a disappointment and a disgrace to the series and the actors.

The ironic thing is that the entire episode appeared to focus on "closure" and yet the dedicated viewers received NO closure whatsoever. What a disappointment!

I thought my satellite dish went out or something. There is no way to get onto the site (HBO). I'm glad that Tony is not dead and that his family (real) is safe, but I am a little disappointed. I didn't want it to end so I was waiting for them all to show up in the premiere of John from Cincinnati. Farewell, to the Sopranos.

nah chase & the family were going to get a reaction anyway you look at it... hell when they announced this was the last season they got tons of publicity --- and now with only 8 episodes aired... 7 of which basically sucked (the only good one was last week...) -- they will sure as hell get tons more publicity -- albeit negative publicity of millions of angry fans who wanted closure... or at least seeing someone other than Phil get wacked....

why oh why couldn't cry-baby AJ blow up in the damn car!
