Put baby oil on her head and let is set for a couple minutes, then take a baby brush and brush it lightly, that will take it off...my son had it for about 3 months.
There are also cradle cap kits you can but at wal-mart or similar stores.

How long does it last?
In most children, cradle cap is gone by 8 to 12 months and often long before that
How is it treated?
Generally, cradle cap does not need to be treated as long as it doesn’t bother you or the baby. Sometimes it itches.
The gentlest treatment is to simply rub a small amount of baby oil or olive oil onto your baby's scalp. Wait several minutes for the oil to soften and loosen the scales, and brush them away with a soft brush or a dry terry-cloth washcloth.
If the cradle cap is especially pronounced, or if your baby is over six months old, you could also wash the hair with a seborrhea shampoo, such as those containing selenium, salicylic acid, or tar. These shampoos don’t have the "no tears" factor, so be careful or your child may not like bath time as much as they usually do.
If the cradle cap is especially reddened or inflamed, a small amount of over-the-counter cortisone cream may help.
These measures may be needed, off and on, until your baby outgrows the condition. Nevertheless, if the cradle cap does not respond rapidly to these treatments, be sure to inform your pediatrician.
How can it be prevented?
Preventing the rapid scalp growth and active sebaceous glands of cradle cap is not easy (or desirable). Frequent gentle shampooing may prevent the build up of scales.

I know how horrible it is to have everyone look at your child's head and say "what are you doing for that cradle cap"? All 4 of my children have had cradle cap and I tried several different things so here's what all I've done and they all have helped. After washing your baby's hair or head if the hair is scarce, rub the soft bristle brush all over the baby's head and the flakes will come falling out. You will have to do this several times but you will notice a difference in about a week. Another thing is 1% hydrocortisone cream. Rub this all over the baby's head and then use the hairbrush to remove flakes after the cream has dried completely. If none of that works, use dandruff shampoo for sensitive skin and once the hair is dry, brush out the flakes. In between treatments, I always lightly scratch my baby's head to get out excess cradle cap. The combination of treatments that worked the best for me (and I have 4 children) is the hydrocortisone cream after I washed the baby's head with dandruff shampoo for senstive skin following brushing to get out extra flakes. Good luck and if all else fails, let your pediatrican know and they can prescribe special lotin for the baby's head.

Cradle crap.. it's nasty stuff! My daughter even had it down the side of her face. I used baby oil and stuff in a turquise bottle called nature's way or something like that, but it was specifically for cradle cap. Be warned, if you comb your baby's hair, it will fall out. My son looked like he had a buzz cut, but I couldn't stand that stuff on his head. I never got the chance to comb my daughter's head like I did my son's because I didn't have the time. btw, my son has very thick wavy hair now and my daughter has really thin hair..I don't know if combing made a difference like that or not. Good luck! Oh, for the cradle cap that can go behind the ears, just use diaper rash cream. It prevents the moisture and cleans it up in about a week.

Aquaphor. My cousin (mother of 2 and a nurse) told me about it when my son had it, and it cleared up in a few days.
We tried baby oil, combing it, and those special cradle cap treatments, and they didn't help at all. The cradle cap just kept coming back.
I started putting the aquaphor on it, and then putting hat on over top, to keep it from getting his sheets greasy, and then putting him down for a nap. After he woke up, we'd wash it out and then go over it easily witha fine-tooth comb. It was pretty gross because these big yellowish flakes would come off and get stuck in the comb, and his hair was coming out with it, but the cradle cap cleared up completely within a week. After it was gone, I kept using the Aquaphor for a few days, and it stopped coming back.
You can get Aquaphor at any drug store, like Walgreens, CVS, Biggs, etc. It is in a blue and white tube with a blue lid.
My son's began at around 2 months, and didn't clear up until about 4 months. Now that Iook back at it, it really didn't last that long, but when people kept commenting on it, it seemed to take forever to go away!

We were using baby oil. We'd rub baby oil onto her scalp wait a minute or so then brush it out with a baby comb. It always came back and we'd do the same thing. She's almost 4 months now and the cradle cap hasn't came back for a week and half.
She is losing her hair though...but thats normal. A lot of babies who were born with hair have their hair fall out during the first 8 months. So don't worry that you're doing something wrong.

You can massage some baby oil on his/her head let is soak and then gently try to comb it out. Make sure you don't put to much oil on the head so it will not get into the babies eyes. Then wash it out. Try to do it on a daily basis until it gets better.I am not sure how long it will last it depends on how much cradle cap the baby has. One of my children had it for 2 month and the other one had it almost for a year. Hope this helped.

All 3 of my kids had cradle cap and the best thing I have found is to use plain olive oil. Massage some into the scalp and use a soft bristled brush to gently remove some of the scales then shampoo and rinse. It always took a while and multiple times for it to go away.

NO BABY OIL! This can exacerbate the problem. Use a cradle-cap specific product (if you choose to use any product) such as Gentle Naturals. (turquoise bottle. read all labels carefully first) The best thing to do is brush the baby's head with a soft brush and gently comb out the flakes as they loosen. Do this several times a day, as it stimulates blood curculation to the skin, being careful to avoid pressing on the "soft spot". I have seen it clear up in a week with this regimen. It can return easily, so watch out!

How long it lasts depends on how bad it is. Two of my kids had this. I bought some stuff at Wal-Mart for cradle cap and used it everyday. I put it on and loosened the scales with a fine tooth comb. It went away fairly quickly.
