In my area I have several sources - Major grocery stores with extensive Natural Foods sections, Whole Food might, Natures Pantry does, some pet stores carry it - like Doctors Foster and Smith (catalog and online)
The other contributors also listed some great sites & stores.
My cats and I both have benefitted from its use

5-htp is the molecule that is the precursor to seratonin. Seratonin is needed in nerve synapses to quiet the brain. Having a readily available supply of 5-htp may help your problem. 2 caps 2 x per day or follow the bottle directions.
