I hope she doesnt. If only for poor Harry to get a life that he deserves. One without Voldemort trying to kill him and his loved ones.
I think he will live.

It would be the traditionally literary thing for Rowling to do. Harry's mom's love for him is what saved him from Voldemort the first time, right? (Admittedly, I've only watched the movies, but I know people who have read the books). This would mean that love must conquer evil. It stands to reason that Harry's love for his friends (which is a running theme throughout all the books) is what will save them and conquer Voldemort...Plus it would make Harry a Christ-like figure, which is the traditionally literary thing to do. Lots of books and movies do this because sacrificing yourself is the ultimate sacrifice. Saying some spell would be taking the easy way out if you ask me. The best part about it would be that millions of kids all over the world would totally freak out if she killed off Harry. I think that would be awesome.

I'm torn in 2 about this.
On the one side I think it would be a really good way of making sure this really is the last book. I love them but I don't want the series to drag on and on and eventually lose all of it's 'magic'.
On the other side, the 'fairy-tale-lover' in me wants Harry to have his happily ever after. Rowling said this will be her last HP book, I just hope no one else tries to further it if Harry does live.

She shouldn't kill Harry, because Harry needs to live and grow up and be a great wizard like Dumbledore with Ron and Hermione with him. And also, get married with Ginny, lol

It's up to her and where she is going with this. She planned this series long before it was published and if his dying ties in with her plot then she has the right to do so. Some people will be upset but it was her choice. I, personally, dont think she should but they are her books and will become a best seller probably no matter what happens in them. She could dump a whole load of bologna in there and the books would still fly off the shelves because of the worlds love for them.

I personally don't think she should. I like "happily ever after" stories but I realise life mostly doesn't end up that way...
I think that she will kill Harry though... It will probably be a case of Harry "dying to save everyone else". Plus there is no way for there to be more books after this one if Harry is killed...

NO!
If she does not want to write about the character any more after the conclusion of Book 7, that is her decision. However that does not mean that she should kill Harry.

I think she should. No one wants a lame sequel to come out thirty years from now by some random author. If she kills Harry, she solves that problem.

harry potter is not immortal. if voldemort doesn't kill him, then jkr will tell us how he dies in the epilogue. so yes, she will kill him. but whether she has age kill him or voldemort or an illness remains to be seen.
