If I was to buy a ticket for one movie... watch it... then when it's over... walk into another movie without paying... what would happen if I got caught? Would the police be involved? or would they just make me pay?

They could call the police. To the theatre owners, it is the equivalent of shoplifting...you are stealing that 2nd movie. Most likely, though, they would just kick you out.

you ask in your question "Would the police be involved?" the answer to that is possibly--which makes doing it not worth it to me.
of course, the main reason i would not do it is because it is wrong (ahem!), but the fact that i usually see movies on the weekend...and if you get thrown in the pokey on a weekend in my city, there is a chance you will be there until monday...and they have a tendency to transfer you from the little holding cells at small stations all the way down to Cook County Jail in my city...and you don't want to be thrown into that population with bangers, drug dealers and whatever else just because you snuck/sneaked into a movie. those vermin would have you for breakfast, lunch and dinner, if you get my drift.
so don't do it--potentially the trouble you can cause yourself is not worth it.

Well what they would do is bring you out back and shoot you with a silenced pistol :), no I think they would just show you the door and tell you never to come back.

you can be arrested if they want to prosecute some of them will just kick you out and you can even be banned from the theater
so i would not suggest doing that at all

I dunno but one night, I saw 3 movies. I'll list them in order : Next, Vacancy, and Hot Fuzz. I got home at Midnight - 1 A.M. Just try not to get caught!

Yeah, I think they just throw you out.

I would assume they could have you charged with petty theft. Just like shoplifting.
