Orlando Florida...tickets (Disney World - Unversal Studios, Epcot) for the front of the line. Now I've heard there is such thing as buying these type of tickets that can get you to the front of the line. Anybody know if this is true? Also where is the best play to stay that is nice and close to the parks?

At Disney this is called Fastpass and at Universal its called the Universal Express Pass. Disney World has four theme parks which include Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom that all have the Fastpass system. Universal Orlando has two parks which includes Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Here is a brief decription of both priority pass types:

Disney Fastpass

This is FREE for all Disney park guests. It is offered at select rides and attractions, usually those with the longest lines. To get a Fastpass you go to a machine where you scan your park ticket and get a Fastpass stub with a return time. When you come back during the specified return time on your Fastpass you enter the Fastpass line and get priority boarding onto the ride with very little or no wait at all.

Universal Express Pass

This is a seperate pass that you must purchase. It is NOT free like the Disney Fastpass. It works similar to the Disney Fastpass but instead of waiting on return times you already have the pass for all the designated attractions. This pass is not as effecient as the Disney Fastpass sytem.

As far as hotels, it really depends on which parks you prefer to be closer to. I recommend that you start of by visiting the above websites and browse through both the Disney Resorts and Universal Resorts. Also checkout the helpfull website:
