Yogi Berra played on Yankee teams full of all-stars for most of his career. When you look at players like Mantle, Maris, Skowron, Richardson, Rizzuto, and others it would be hard to believe that one player would be the leader of the team. I was just a kid and a Dodger fan and never liked the Yankees because they beat my Dodgers every year. It was years later, for me, before I could come to realize just how good those Yankee teams were. And believe it or not Yogi Berra was the leader of that team. He had the personality for it and he deserves the most credit for keeping those Yankee teams focused all those years. Berra was their leader and I believe the Yankee players that played with him would agree.
