why do a lot of guys judge girls by the way they look,and don't appreciate inner beauty?

It's just human nature. No one wants to be with someone they aren't attracted to physically. Especially with men, because they are visual creatures and seek what is pleasing to the eye.

Because they judge on what they see, how can you possible judge someone if they don't know them well...

Meaning, if a guy sees a "pretty" girl and a not so pretty girl walking down the street. He would for sure go approach the pretty girl instead of the ugly girl. And the ugly girl might have a way better personality then the pretty girl, and a better "inner" beauty.

But you need to look at it this way. the guy only knows what he sees. He can't possibly see that ugly girl is better on the inside, unless he got to know her better. And since shes not that attractive, he might never get to know her better and see her inner beauty. So she might not even get a chance, to show that she is a better person on the inside then the prettier girl. So the guy would never really know that she is beautiful on the inside. So its not really his fault. Because no person male or female would want to date a person they find unattractive, that's just human nature.

I know, it sucks, but its just the way life is.........

It is in the nature of guys to be caught by a girl's look and sometimes they do judge from what they perceive if the girl project an image to call for such, but that does not mean they do not appreciate her inner beauty as well. They do after they get to know her better... Remember; guys are male species and are natural hunters! LOL...

Some girls do that too! Please do not be offended. It goes both ways of course and that's called chemistry !

well they do eventually if your a hag yet the hottest thing ever there not gonna like you but if your decent looking and have a good personality that you two feel a connection then you got someone who loves you for outer and inner. and besides no guy wants to marrry a fat cow specially if there frickin sexy hot. mainly the media messed with all so its not just guys its also girls they dont want a fat cow either but hey beauty is in the eye of the beholder

I myself try and find a girl who is decent looking and has a good personality, i mean i cant be attracted to someone with someone with out a good personality. and i also can have a girl that is the ugliest thing ever. it all has to be in balance. all girls have a beauty, physically and emotionally. and usually if a girl has a nice personality it compliments the outer beauty.

Christina, I think its fair to ask you this: Why do girls judge guys by the way they look, and don't appreciate inner strength?

This street goes both ways.

In part, its because of our genetic predisposition to find a healthy mate, usually indicated by someone whose facial features are more symetrical, whose body looks a certain way and who carries themselves in a certain manner. This was, back in the day, the way to insure that any and all children had a better chance at being healthy and successful.

Now...here's the sad part - a large part of this is society telling both young men and young women that its "cool" to date/sleep with/be with a certain look. Believe it or not, at one time, fat girls were considered more desirable than skinny girls!

So, take it as you want it, but remember...that chubby, geeky looking guy with a PDA and a POS car may be a nicer, sweeter, kinder and more stable man than the boy with the ripped bod and bright red camaro.

I think that they are insecure and believe that we judge them in the same way. By the way, there are guys out there that will take you as you are and look at the inner you. Not all guys are Shallow jerks,even those that act that way just do it to impress their buddies sometimes. Like I said, they are as insecure as we are about what people think.

same reason why girls do that to guys.. even if we dont realise it. THe face is the first thing we see what we may not find attractive or appealing another person does... beauty is in the eye of the beholder.. so it all depends on who is looking at that person and there perception of beauty.. Its shallow but true.. I think though once you aculey get to know the person the whole perception changes and no longer is it based on looks but personality and compatiblity..

Many males (maybe even unconsciously) seem to base some of their prestige on the looks of their girl friend or wife. Some men - the ones perhaps who are less sure of themselves - judge other men based on the appearance of their girl friends etc. I get the feeling it's kind of like having a prestigious car and job etc.

Not a lot of guys but some guys. Its the first thing you notice about someone. Its not like there is a personal sign for every girl that says your personality and everything on it. They see the outter beauty first.

I know it's said that the first impression is the lasting one . . . and of course our first impression of each other is almost always visual. From there, however, I think other facets of the person begin to "click in," so that I'm often soon turned off of a girl who I was initially attracted to physically, while I've often come to like women I was not initially attracted to.
So while looks might make it easier to "get your foot in the door," really getting inside requires having something inside.

they think with their penis until they're like 30 and then all the sudden they realize they need a wife so they won't be old and alone and only then do they see inner beauty.....there is a handful of great guys out there but they are usually all taken.
