no, actually its easy. just give the car time to cool down, they get very hot.
1. unplug the electrical connector out of the top. move aside
2. there is a metal heat shield. one nut and a bolt to remove.
but before you remove it there is a fuel line retainer that clips on to the side of it. this keeps the lines from vibration around.
once undone remove the nut, its on the upper intake plenumn, a 10mm socket, then the bolt, it attaches to a braket that runs along the lower intake manifold. also a 10mm
you can just move it aside now, or unclip it from the wiring harmess, it holds it too.
3. now your ready to remove the egr valve, looking at it you will see two bolts also 10mm remove and then the egr valve will be free.
then replace valve and gasket.
then reverse the tear down and your done!
as for clearing the code, you can not do that. you will need from a shop, preferably a dealer on that one

One of those jobs that needs a pro.Take it to the dealer. There are other things that need to be checked and cleaned while you replace the egr valve.

there right on top of engine. you will have to have someone with a code reader erase the fault codes when your done. i believe the valve is electronic on these. so just unbolt unhook the plug in and install in reverse. (if your sure the valve is bad if i remember there expensive in these) good luck
