Phil got whacked. Also it never happened but it was implied that the whole family was about to be whacked. But before it happened the screen went black.

Your cable was working. They ended it that way on purpose. Ambiguous ending. Who knows, but I think the two black guys and the lone guy who went to the bathroom were about to whack Tony. Its up in the air. Or maybe he was about to get pinched.
Everyone is dissing the last episode, but I think the final scene was great. Leaves you guessing big time. The rest of the episode was kind of weak, but I think the ending was great. It left everything up in the air!

I think that was a prank I thought my cable went out too. it didnt. It just went black at the end of the episode.

Catch up everyone. Tony died. The screen going black was his consciousness....when the show first came out, they made reference, when you get whacked, you never see it coming....

tony's family all lived happily - it ended with them eating dinner at a diner and a few shady people walked by tony making you think they were gonna shoot him and his family but the screen just goes blank- i dont know if that means they are ok or they are doomed
