There were 4 hitmen in the restaurant, 2 white guys:
(the one redneck guy sitting down in a booth with a hat on and the italian looking guy who walked in when AJ did).
2 black guys came in towards the end of the scene.
The italian looking guy got up to take a leak because he was waiting for Meadow to arrive. Show ends when she arrives. But she'll walk in to the restaurant and when he exits the bathroom the 4 hitmen will kill the 4 sopranos sitting together at the booth. I think Meadow may have arranged the whole thing, or maybe just Tony is the one who gets killed, Meadow heard about the indictments coming down because she's dating a lawyer, and wants to spare her father having to go to prison for the rest of his life. So she arranged the hitmen thing through Pat Parisi and his dad. In that case maybe those 2 black guys weren't hitmen but the camera obviously focused on them at one point..

I thought my tv cut out. The screen went blank and quiet. My husband and I looked at each other, and said "That's it?" The babies rolling away in the SUV after Phil was knocked off was the climactic moment of the series finale.
To be honest, I expected far more of the writers tonight to close the ending. They could have rearranged the show to have the Phil scene at the end. It would have been more satiating that way.

yeah...the producer wants you to kinda make your own ending. Tony's is definitly going to be involved in a trial, we know that, but whether or not he'll go to jail, we can decide. AJ is obviously doing better, great...their lives are pretty good. oh and i think he kinda made peace with his uncle, so maybe he can kinda let go of his mother and his issues with that whole thing. I loved it....it wasn't sad like the rest of series finales and now we can just pretend that he'll never get in trouble...lol

That David Chase made it clear that he is the creator (and destroyer) of this universe which doesn't need to give anyone any answers.
