Actually I read somewhere that 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 is the average for erect. For times when you are not erect, there really isn't a standard. There's a pretty big range, but smaller guys tend to get a lot bigger when they are erect, but guys that are bigger to start with don't get much bigger when erect.
