I am a patriot, first, and a democrat, second.

Thank you for fighting the seditious and socialists you find. The democrat party will come through this stronger and more patriotic once people stop letting those same people speak for them.

When I see a republican, I assume a patriot, and hope they see the same when they look at me, but the only way I can earn that is if I speak up EVERY TIME someone acts seditiously and say,...

..."That person doesn't speak for me."

Is this poster (the person who posted the question) wrong to post this? Do we, as democrats, wish to defend this kind of statement (the person he quotes)?

What does that say about us that we DON'T speak up against it?

It doesn't say anything about me.

I speak up. I hope all of you would no matter what party the poster claims to be in. There are three parties as far as I am concerned: The seditious and socialists who want our country to fall, patriotic democrats, and patriotic republicans, the latter two who disagree on how best to help our country, but put the country FIRST.

I saw that answer, and disagreed with it. No, I certainly do not hope the terrorists we created end up doing what everyone expects will happen--turn the weapons and training we have provided them against us.

There was no Al Queda in Iraq prior to our invasion. Now there are more of them there than there had been in Afghanistan, and we have not really reduced the numbers in Afghanistan.

That's so strange.

Although I don't support that statement.. I at least assumed Conservatives such as yourself wouldn't be so close minded as to assume all Liberals would say something like that. I guess it simply portrays your own thought processes and over generalizations.

I always thought this country was founded on freedom of political views... must not have been a Conservative that came up with that right?

Liberals make these stupid statements, and then wonder why people don't like what they say. I predict, because of the liberal media, that our next president will be a democrat. That president will surrender to Al Quaeda like the democrats surrendered to North Vietnam in the 1970s. However, Al Queada will continue terrorist attacks on the US and Pelosi, Reid and the other liberals will wring their hands and say "why is this happening?" Liberals are NEVER responsible for anything. It's always someone else's fault

Hey Matthew, are you telling me that freedom of speech makes 9/11 okay? Oh, that's right. You don't believe in 9/11. 3000+ people didn't die at all. It's more important to you that you can say what you want than to try to save people's lives.

Don't listen to people who think they are a liberal just because of one issue.
Being Liberal means you favor individual rights over the rights of the government.
.
Our country was founded by liberals.
The conservatives were the ones who supported the King.
.
I consider myself a progressive Democrat.
I repeat the words of Benjamin Franklin, a liberal:
"Those who are willing to give up liberty for their security, deserve neither security nor liberty"

And you know this person is a liberal, because...?

It looks like new weapons talk would be coming from a RedsStater Warmongering Military Industrial Complex merchant of death.

It looks like this answerer is not even an American, let alone a liberal. They didn't say, "find their way over here". They said, "find their way over the U.S." I would say they don't even speak English that well, Dude.

You miss the point that Americans have agents around the world killing in their name.
You don't care if a family is wiped out, you have no emotional tie to them.
9/11 happens everyday in some other countries while you sleep.
People starve while you have food fights.
You complain about the high cost of gas, while some other countries pay twice as much.
America is lucky to be on an relatively isolated land mass
If you felt the pain of 9/11 everyday, you may be motivated to stop the killing

Love is a very Strong word for that response. It is typical of some who read links and questions and take them at face value.

Not all liberals are that ridiculous. But I must admit it is getting more and more difficult to find the ones that aren't.
