because as women, we are more emotional and you men normally don't give us enough affection as you did when you wooed us. we are extremely sensitive to changes in the way you behave around us and tend to pick up the slightest change in attitude or behavior from you even without yourself realizing that you were behaving weird.
we get suspicious cause we noted the changes in our husbands and get worried that you changed because you don't love us anymore or love us lesser than before marriage. the only reason we get suspicious is due to the fact that we still love + treasure our husband and thus, are afraid of losing him to an affair.

I don't know if your statement is true. If it is, it could be for a number of reasons.

They might have cause to be jealous. Or:

Women are competitive about men and they know that there will be women who will try to seduce their husband, just because he is married. After I got married, several women at work were after me that showed me no attention before that.

Many wives try to control their husbands by denying them sex if they don't do what they want them to do. Since their husbands aren't getting as much sex as they want because their wives are saying "no", they are naturally suspicious that they are getting sex somewhere else. Especially if their husband doesn't allow himself to be controled this way.

There are many things that some wives won't do in bed and they know that other women will do them.

They believe the nonsense that all men are pigs and so they marry a pig instead of a decent man. That saying that "good girls like bad boys", is also a factor here.

I never cheated on my wife and never would have, but she was suspicious of this at times.

I agree with the person who said that if there is not trust in a marriage, that marriage is in big trouble.

That is a really unfair statement. The wives who are suspicious have a reason. Either their husband exhibits behaviors that make them uncomfortable and they have been unable to come to a compromise about those behaviors or the wife has been cheated on previously. The feelings that accompany betrayal are not easy to get over. The wife may have low self esteem not related to his behavior.
You probably do not read a lot of happily ever after stories in this advice column because those wives are busy being happy. Unhappy people are more likely to be seeking advice.

I don't know if most wives are actually suspicious of their husbands, but a lot of women are insecure and that can make it seem like they are suspicious. Take my husband for example, he is always telling me how beautiful i am, how happy he is with me, and how lucky he is to be with me... that makes me feel good, and so I have no insecurities in our relationship...... When you marry, you invest a lot of you into that person. If they cheat, you stand to lose more. So, women keep an eye out.

Alot of men are always out. They get off work, go t the bar and drag themselves to their wife and kids hours later. That would make me suspicous ,too. My husband dosnet go out after work or ever for that matter but the most of the guys he works with (except two) DO go out after work and theyre cheating. But cant blame just the men, what do these wives think theyre doing? And not to mention Ive learned from this site alot of women dont swallow or even give oral for that matter and they all let themselves go, forgetting that their husband is their lover and adding to it all, loads of nagging. most of which wives? it really depends on the woman; you cant just lump them all into one category like that. women are suspicious for different reasons: if they are insecure, if they have actual proof, if their husband has a history of cheating, if a trusted friend told her...the list goes on and on. there are many reasons to not trust one's husband.
