It reflects who someone was who bought it when new. (I go for the best deal, on used cars)

It can. People like to express themselves with their cars. Folks who want to project a prosperous image will buy high-end cars -- sometimes, even if they can barely afford them. Macho guys don't like minivans, and environmentalists don't particularly like SUVs.

But your choice of a car also reflects what you can afford. Sometimes, an old high-end car costs less than a new low-end one.

no!...most cars reflect your needs....I love camping way out in the bush so have a 4x4 that is good on gas.....me I'm sexy and slim and older so my vehicle does not reflect me....
