I need a laptop that is under like $700, but can be used for school stuff like writing papers and internet.

This lists all of Dell's laptops selling under $750. I think the Inspiron E1505 would be a good choice - it sells at $699 after $249 in savings.

Check out newegg.com or tigerdirect.com and they should have a computer thats perfect for you. In my opinion, you should get a HP computer becuase they can last a for a really long time and are perfect for school stuff. Check out your local circuit city becuase they got some really good deals on laptop these days that you wont find at bestbuy or compusa.

dell is always having deals. stores such as staples and office depot will occasionally have laptops under 700 for basic computing usage.

your best bet is a refurbished ibook or somethng along those lines
