you will never make it sound like a v8 unless you install one but you can put a flowmaster muffler on it if you want a louder sound.

I wouldn't recommend doing this to a V6, it just like painting "I'm a poser" on your car for everyone to see and laugh at you. In other words the music is provided by the cylinders, the muffler is just the speakers. Don't go with flowmaster because their clear sound will really give it away. Any cheap turbo muffler will have a muddy low bass sound.

Just cut the muffler out.....but it sounds like crap. You'll never replicate the V8 sound, I've seen some that idle and sound like V8, but as soon as you rev them up you can tell they're not. Good luck in aggravating everyone in your neighborhood.

remove catalytic converter and put on long tube headers and high performance mufflers and 2 1/2" exhaust. Try summit.com

Extractors,High flow cat,2 1/2 inch exhuast 4 inch dump.........have 3.8l ecotech v6 commodore with this set up....sounds really gooood

cherrybomb will murder your ears.
Other ways: gut the cat, or change the muffler. But it will be loud and you may not want to (or be able to) drive it after that.
