The Yankee chances of making the playoffs this year is very good. Clemens has shown he still has something left and Wang is back and healthy. Those two along with Pettitte and Mussina gives them a very strong starting four. Their hitting is now starting to come around and when that happens they will start to get everything going. There is still plenty of time left and I would look for them to be there at the end of the season.

There is always a chance! They definately have the hitting but a rotation where the only solid pitching they can count on is Clemens and Pettitte isn't enough. They are going to need Mussina, Hughes, Wang, or someone else to step it up or Detroit/Cleveland will win the wild card. Short of major injuries in Boston they won't win the division.

Pretty good...the rough part of the season is over with Wang, Mussina, and now Clemens back. The reason how come they are so far back is because of no pitching. The Sandman is back in his prime and so is A-Rod. Jorge is putting up All-Star numbers. OK maybe not Division Champs but only 5.5 games back in the wild card from the Tigers who are in the toughest division excluding the Royals. So yea they are gonna make it.

99% they played lik crap the first 2 months but yet there are still only 5.5 games out of the wildcard and 9.5 out of the AL East with 103 games remaining. They are finally starting to play Yankee baseball so I so watch out for all the Yankee haters!!
I know Boston fans are starting to get nervous and wish the season was only 3 months long!!

10%.. Let's see Clements beat a major league team now that he beat the minor league (fake major league) Pittsburgh Pirates. If he can do that against Boston, the Yanks have a chance.

I hate them, but I think there their chances of making the playoffs are about 80% right now.

i'd say 10%, it would be hard for them to beat one of the 2 teams in the cenrtal, it's a 3 team race for 1 spot (tigers, indians and the evil empire)

if they keep up on how they are playing now they have a good chance of winning the wild card and maybe even the division(all depends on the red sox to keep on winning, or a compltete meltdown)
