They who control the present control how the past is spindoctored.

The future will be controlled by the fanatical theocrats, because they are
producing the most offspring. Therefore, most of the modern people will be
remembered as 'hellbound heathens'.

Aside from all of the self-hate you're gonna get from the Liberals, the United States is going to be remembered as being one of the greatest melting-pots in the history of civilization. And the fact that we are such a young country and have achieved such greatness. Don't let the self-haters fool you--we ARE great. If the US imploded tomorrow, the rest of the world would follow us down the drain.

We will be remembered for our forefather's vision of a free nation, a Republic of individuals looking into the future. We will be remembered for our generosity, our willingness to jump in and get dirt up to our elbows, and our unwillingness sit back and let anyone roll over us. And we will be remembered for our perseverance through tough times, be it civil war, economic depression, wide-spread drought, political shenanigans, or nationwide discontent. We always trudge ahead and we always come out on top.

When you think about this question you tend to think firstly about all the negative things that we will be remembered for - increasing global warming, ruining the landscape, eating too much junk food, being lazy. But then again, many positive things have also occurred in our lifetimes - advances in technology and education for example. It's a gamble as to what the future generations will think of us!!

Probably globalization, and the rise of technology, which helps make globalization possible. The world is more connected than ever. Communication is instantaneous. I can find someone across the world who shares the same interests as I do very quickly, and develop a relationship with them.

I agree with Cody. This generation is not moving towards anything. It's as if we are stuck and cannot move ahead to think outside the box or even think! If you are one to believe in evolution...well...we are not too far away from that caveman state. People are still racist, sextist, ignorant, and zombies. Most people believe what they are told and don't question anything. Materials are abundant and highly valued...people have set in their minds that buying a brand name means more than how comfortable something is on them. STUPID!!!

We will be viewed as a self absorbed, all-consumed, destructive culture; and will be best remembered by our garbage.
