My neighbor received two kits of Bare Minerals for her birthday, so she gave me one. I never would have considered purchasing it for myself. The whole concept of it sounds ridiculous.
Well, I decided to try it since it was a thoughtful gift. I watched the DVD first, which tells you how to apply all the products. The DVD is really helpful, but of course it tries to convince you to use 13 products to make up your face everyday.
Anyway, so far I have used the foundation with the maximum cover brush, the foundation with the concealer brush, and the mineral veil. Here is what I have found:
1. The foundation is incredibly natural looking, it lasts all day, and when I took a two-hour nap in it, my skin was still perfect and not oily at all.
2. It doesn't really conceal anything unless you apply the powder three times. It seems like a lot, but the result is very smooth and even.
3. My skin still looks like my skin, but it looks like my skin four times better.
4. The mineral veil seems like a waste, but once I tried it, I realized that it does even things out and control shine.
5. The tapping and swirling and buffing is hard to get used to because I've never used anything like this.
6. I haven't used the warmth, the blush or the eyeshadows yet.
7. I don't think the products are overly expensive. I read some reviews about Avon having the same thing at a better price, but I'm sick of trying new makeup all the time. It seems like a never-ending money pit.
8. I enjoy using Bare Minerals because it does what it says it will do. I'm a pushover for truth in advertising. Also, liquid and cream foundations work very well for me, but I like the fact that Bare Minerals is natural and light.
I hope this helped. I tried to be objective in telling you my experience. Good luck.

I would recommend to you Everyday Minerals. Bare Minerals is not all-natural. It contains an ingredient called bismuth oxychloride. It can accentuate your pores and may also cause your skin to itch. Everyday Minerals does not contain bismuth oxychloride. It also contains many different shades, and 4 different TYPES of foundations for dry, normal, combination, and all skin.
I have researched other brands and looked at several reviews and the ingredients. These brands I have found to be the most affordable and most natural (no bismuth oxychloride):
Everyday Minerals
Sheer Miracle
Joppa Minerals
Lumiere Minerals
Everyday Minerals, IMO, has the best price AND you can order a custom free sample kit. All you pay is shipping, which is around $3 or $4.

I did not like it because it did not last very long and I found was a bit messy. It also accentuated my wrinkles more and settled in the creases. I found a new foundation that I read about in one of the fashion magazines and I absolutely love it, its made by Bee Luscious Cosmetics and its a mineral liquid powder foundation. I love it because it lasts all day I always look as if I reapplied my makeup but never do. I also have gotten many compliments from co-workers it has been the only product that for once I have been fully satisfied.

It depends on the person's skin if it's good. I tried it at Sephora and didn't like it. I don't think Bare Minerals is worth it.
I use Everyday Minerals, it's cheaper, over 20 colors, less harmful ingredients.
http://www.everydayminerals.com - You can get a sample kit of 3 foundations, 1 blush, and 1 concealer for just the S&H which is like $4.
If you really want to use mineral make up - Neutrogena is pretty good. Almay, Rimmel, L'oreal, Maybelline are good lines of liquid foundation and some other ones.

sure! I unquestionably have been donning it for years and prefer it! in case you haven't any longer have been given the the final option colour nevertheless or persist with it incorrect it is going to look damaging! I propose going to a boutique and sitting down with somebody. the finished length foundations have lasted me on the brink of a 300 and sixty 5 days and that's donning it widely used. you rather in basic terms want a tiny bit to conceal so making use of too lots will look extraordinary. you apart from mght would desire to be certain you're making use of the the final option brushes...it incredibly isn't any longer in basic terms a sales rip-off. you could desire to be certain you're making use of a organic bristle brush for minerals simply by fact the brushes are tapered to be certain that the minerals pass on the the final option way. in case you have oily or vivid pores and skin basically persist with the mineral veil in the previous of after your commencing place to matte each and every little thing. no longer something that I unquestionably have tried has felt or regarded as sturdy as bare minerals. it incredibly is definitely worth a attempt :)

I personally find that most mineral make up, like Bare Minerals, gives the same effect as a good quality powder foundation (which gives a sheer cover).
What has really stopped me from rebuying Bare Minerals is that it has a list of ingredients that post potential allergy on my very sensitive skin: titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, iron oxide and bismuth oxychloride.

It's no better than any good foundation that is "set" with a loose powder. Almost all foundations have the minerals they use as their claim to fame. Go to a dept store and have a cosmetics person "shade" you with a foundation and ask for a sample.

YES YES YES! I love it soooo much. It's so nice. My face looks flawless after I put it on. Seriously, it's worth it.
There's another brand I saw a commercial for, Sheer Cover, or something like that. It was a little different, but basically the same as Bare Minerals.
