most small basketball players shoot free throws fine (80%+) but the big men like shaq are horrendous. when he was still with the magic they used to say that it was because his hands were TOO BIG. apparently, this made it difficult to get the proper rotation on the ball. in other words, it eliminates any shooting "touch", so all they shoot is bricks.

Simply because they don't WORK AT IT!! Anyone could work themselves into being at least a 75% foul shooter if they practice enough. It's simply getting a routine, and practicing it over and over until it becomes almost second nature.

i think they just train hard at dunk and passing they dint train at free throws.
