I have a sampler stitched by my maternal great great grandmother in 1841 when she was 12.
It hangs in a place of honor in my home.
She would be proud to know her sampler has survived the years. And that her craft was still being carried on by me 146 years later.

I have a teddy bear that is over 22 years old and I have a newspaper from the very same day that I was born, it's wrapped in plastic w/ a pink bow and it too is a little over 22 years old. I've never really thought of them as "prized possessions" but they are old and kinda cool to have.

No, they're not old. But they're the world to me: My kids. That is my most prized possession. I couldn't imagine the world without them.

I have a very small cedar chest. It belonged to my grandpa. I asked him if I could have it. He said you will just get rid of it.But he gave it to me anyway. I was about 8 or 9 years old.I will be 50 this year and I still have the little chest.I think I will have my children bury it with me.
