False and deliberately manipulated intelligence. This is proven absolutely. The war was based on gross lying to congress in falsified documentation. Additionally, many in congress never read the intelligence, and simply relied on Bush's honesty. Bush is dishonest, as is his VP and cabinet. sh has not an honest bone in his body.

It is destroying the USA economy beyond recognition. It was designed to strip the country USA of resources, to reinforce the need for the Patriot Act which strips the constitution to
shreds. The war has killed close to 4000 Americans, has killed nearly 700,000 Iraq citizens, most poor, the war has injured 30,000 or so Americans. The war was to control and steal Iraqi oil. The war is a prelude to more intended wars in the region.

It is a low point in American history

The war on terror is being fought in the wrong country.

To bolster my opinion-the news just stated that Iraq is the second most unstable country in the world. I dont know where it was when we first went over there, but I dont think it could be worse than it is now. What is it we're trying to do? Perform a miracle? Meanwhile, Hurricane Katrina victims are still without a permanent place to live, not just in New Orleans, but in the equally devasted Mississippi area. My opinion is that we need to start an orderly withdrawal from Iraq, while possibly leaving behind some people who know how to rebuild an economy. Just saying that makes me realize how hopeless that sounds. We got ourselves into a terrible 3 way fight for a country that basically doesnt want us there. We need to leave-bottom line.

This war is ridiculous and uncalled for. Why aren't we spending years trying to fix our country instead of go out there and try and fix everyone else's. Why can't we just mind our own d*mn business. We should be spending the money and time that we have spent on this war to try and get our homeless people off the streets, or educate our children, or help the people from Katrina. Bush is an idiot and so is everyone out there who supports this sorry excuse for a leader. And whats even worse is he is ruining the American Name. No wonder why so many other countries hate us, idiots run our government. They give a bad name to all Americans, and it sucks. I am scared to be living in this country when the rest of the world finally gets fed up with our bulls**t.

It was a war for the sake of war. It is all politics and we could never understand what truly are the reasons behind the war. That is what is politics. Politics is divulging facts by hiding the hidden agenda. One thing positive is that it was a signal to the terrorist countries that they are in the radar of the civilized countries. What happened in Iran? How can a leader say that "Israel should be wiped out from the face of the world"? What sort of leadership is that.

This insane, unconstitutional, illegal and immoral 'war' started for three incredibly "lame" reasons:
1. The Bush family had a personal vendetta against Saddam Hussein ever since the days of Desert Storm when George H.W. Bush was criticized, ridiculed and humiliated for 'not finishing the job' and ousting Hussein at that time;
2. Dick Cheney and his Exxon-Mobil buddies wanted all that OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands so they can continue to feed America's addiction to cheap, easily-accessible foreign OIL instead of introducing alternative fuels that are cheaper (and less profitable);
3. Ever since World War II, the giant U.S. military-industrial complex has recognized how profitable 'war' can be (we were warned about this by Dwight Eisenhower). So all the politicians were bought up, pricey lobbyists were hired, and special interest groups were formed to encourage and promote more 'war'. Thus, the U.S. became involved in the Korean Conflict; the Cuban Missile Crisis; the Cold War; Vietnam and Desert Storm. A 'new' war was necessary to boost the sagging profits of government contractors such as McDonnell-Douglass, Lockheed Martin and Sikorsky - and those two 'newcomers', the Carlyle Group and Halliburton, both of whom have direct ties to the Bush-Cheney White House.
My opinion is that George W. Bush has killed 675,000 Iraqis and 3,500 U.S. soldiers all for the sake of OIL and WAR PROFITEERING. He, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and all 535 members of the most arrogant, incompetent, wicked, contemptible, cowardly, corrupt Republican-led Congress in history [that turned its back on our Constitution and the laws of our land, and gave Bush 'carte blanche'] should ALL be tried in an international tribunal for high crimes against humanity, and - if convicted - should be hanged just as they arranged to hang Hussein.
Surely Satan has a special oil-soaked, blood-stained corner of Hell reserved for these war mongers who have committed mass murder without justification or cause. -RKO- 06/10/07

If we had a leader like the one we had in the Kuwait war, what is his name, Norman ------, that man knows how to win a war!

This war has gone terribly wrong, no one expected the Insurgents and the Shiites and the Sunnis to turn on each other, now the hatred for America and Britain, all of the Jihadists are doing is killing in order to take over just like the Palestinians did in the Gaza, Its to late to get out, we have no choice but to fight these Islamic Militias, if not we will fight them on American Soil! You either submit to Islam or they will kill you, no mercy!!!

By the way, Islam means Submission..

We need to defeat Islamic fascists, who want to cut your heads off. The west is an unwilling participant in a global war started by the moslems. The moslems have repeatedly attacked the west over the last 60 years. Iraq is just the latest battlefield. We must defeat Islam if you want your children to live life free to worship as they choose.

In answer to your chief question, the conflict on terror isn't over, and is not over for incredibly a at an identical time as. the subject is using terror as a device of conflict and the human beings who think of that's ok. till that's below administration (finished eradication may well be superb yet is unlikely), the "conflict on terror" isn't over. The Bush administration has tried to sell the thought the conflict and profession in Iraq is hooked as much as the conflict on terror. they say that Iraq replaced right into a breeding floor for people who use terror as a device of conflict, so our troops are form of like exterminators attempting to kill the leftover colonies the place those vermin cover, breed, and reproduce. on the grounds that terrorists and terrorist companies originate in many different places, that is tough to argue that the conflict and profession in Iraq will ever have the effect of ending the conflict on terror.

I think in hindsight, it took a lot of bravery and courage on the part of George Bush to do what was right. I just wish the political scum in washington that oppose him would leave him alone, and quit thier bitchin'. The people of Iraq love George Bush!
