Honestly you don't have to worry about the media until you get to that point. Most people have a publicity agent to handle their image, all their appearances, etc. By that point you also have a stylist who will help you with the way you dress, your hair, etc.

With starting out, that's the biggest thing. You need to take classes and educated yourself on how the business works. Get involved anyway you can.

As for being a minority, there's not much you can do except be the best you can be. Unfortunately Hollywood is based on the way you look and if you happen to look the way they want you too, then great but if not then too bad. Many audition calls these days go out stating that any race may apply and even though we've seen a handful of other races get cast we all know who the majority of the roles still go to.

You can't let that deter you. Work hard, get noticed!

Good luck!

first you have got to get an agent, a well one! Disney, sitcomes and commmericales and most often the whole thing concerned with television and amusement will simplest speak to sellers! and you'll simplest understand approximately auditions from them. You understand an company is a rip-off in the event that they ask you for cash. Even a modeling "magnificence" in which you pay like $1500 or somthing for head pictures they usually sa thell discover you a "task". No method! Don't provide any one any cash! If they prefer you and there leigit. then they are going to make there cash by way of you, bye serving to you excell! Hope it helped

My suggestion is to find out if there are any places doing what is known as "Summer Stock" This was popular back in the 60's and 70's where the professional and wanna bees worked together for the summer. If nothing else you would get experience.

Show business is not only acting, there are many other careers in the entertainment business.

If you want to act you should take acting at at school.

A Talent Agent or Talent Manager are good career choices, if you want to live in NYC or L.A.

If you are concerned about what the media will say, take modeling and acting classes, to help build your self-esteem. Never define yourself by what others see or say about you.
