I am happy with myself as long as i am doing the next right thing. To me happiness has nothing to do with money or love or fun times because all of those could leave or get lost. I have to be able to love myself and the things that i do to make me happy. It sounds so simple but it is very hard to try not to depend on outside thing to fix and inside problem. I am the only thing that can make me happy(or sad or mad for that matter) It is the way i react to situations.

I can tell you only from my expierences. I have been very rich
in my life with money ,I have been without a penny in my pockets, I wasn't happy either way, I have owned a large home, a I lost a large home. I have been very healthy, and been very sick. My happiness never change untill I excepted myself as worthy of life. Not untill I found happiness in my heart and soul, was I able to enjoy relationships, travle,my job.
Finding happiness within has been a long journey. My internal feelings about myself had to come first, no amount of monet bought this, no relationship could change this, today I am a minister for rainbowministry.org and find that giving is the best way to keep my happiness. This took years of pain and suffering, I can only hope you will find happiness soon, you will know when you have discovered this { place of well being} * HAPPINESS*

It is a feeling of contentment, of fullfillment in life, a sence of pure satisfaction. Money does not mean happiness neither does any of the other stuff necessarily. It is a state of mind that even the worst off of people can have. It is a peace of mind and feeling that can come from being filled emotionally and spritually, or gaining self-fulfillment.

Happiness, pleasure or joy is the emotional state of being happy. The definition of happiness is one of the greatest philosophical quandaries. Proposed definitions include freedom from want and distress, consciousness of the good order of things, assurance of one's place in the universe or society, inner peace, and so forth. ...
According to different ethical views, happiness might be one goal in life, the only possible goal, or a fortunate by-product of the pursuit of other goals. Happiness might concern one's aggregate of pleasure or require a complex balance involving virtue, pleasure, achievement and good fortune.
It is the performance index of social man; the capacity to obtain happiness through the happiness of others vs egoistic happiness obtained at the expense of others by sociopaths.

Happiness is being able to enjoy good things in your life. There are so many daily things that we can be happy for- sometimes we tend to overlook them or take them for granted. Being loved, having a job, having friends, having a home, having children, being able to go on vacation, health, having freedom...

Do the best you can, in everything you can; and never intentionally hurt anyone who isn't threatening someone unable to defend himself.
That's about the best you can do, towards achieving the foundation for happiness.
The second part is recognizing your deeds and intentions, within the limitations of your own intellect and soul. Good luck.

It's about liking yourself. Only you know all the deep dark secrets about yourself, and with this knowledge, if you can claim that you like the person you are, then you'll have every reason to be happy.
It's also about acceptance. Accepting others for who and what they are, accepting your environment, and your lot in life.
