-7[4x-(x-5)] + 2x = 3-x
-7(4x - x + 5) + 2x = 3 - x
-28x + 7x - 35 + 2x = 3 - x
Add x = 3 to each side:
-28x + 7x - 35 + 2x - 3 + x = 0
Add x terms and absolute terms:
-18x - 38 = 0
Add 38 to each side:
-18x = 38
Divide by -18:
x = -38/18 = -19/9.

-7[4x-(x-5)] + 2x = 3-x
-7[4x-x+5] + 2x = 3-x
-7[3x+5] = 3-x - 2x
-21x - 35 = 3 - 3x
-21x + 3x = 3 + 35
-18x = 38
x = -38/18
x = -19/9
x = -2 1/9
