We can see a few thousand with the naked eye, depending on seeing conditions. As for the number of stars in the known universe what Carl Sagan said will blow you away! He said there are more stars than all the sand grains on all the beaches on Earth, far more!!! Even if he was off by a factor of 100, it is still an inconceivably large number (astronomical if you will). Certainly, there are hundreds of billions of galaxies out there and say the average galaxy has 50 billion stars; you do the math!

There is not an infinite amount, but if the universe keeps expanding it will get to a time when there are no stars left. But we are talking trillions of years from now so don't despair. If you want a number of present existing stars you need to google the word google.

There are about 200 billion stars in our galaxy. There are about 100 billion galaxies. Work it out.
There are about 8000 stars visible to the unaided eye on a clear night, away from light pollution.

You cannot be serious. There are billions, even trillions of stars. There are so many stars out there and so many dying and being born, it is literally impossible to count or even estimate.

i dont think it is possible 2 answer that question. I think, like the number of grains of sand on the beach that answer is unknown. we are constantly gaining & losing stars. hey, if u dont like my answer u can always count xD!

There are no stars in the sky, it is just gases (mostly nitrogen then oxygen)
what do you think?.....................................................we can't even see all of them, there are , as far as we know vigintillions amount of them, and we don't know that there are 100 billion galaxies, we can' count them all. we can estimate the amount of stars in our galaxies but not the amount of galaxies.
