I just bought a house a couple of months ago, and the backyard is now almost completely covered up. HELP!!!!

Persistence. You have to keep mowing it back. There is a lot of herbicides out there but they will kill the leaves. Keep mowing it back and keep in check till the first frost.

As far as I know you can't kill it. However, persistance pays. Start spraying it with herbicide and never let up; it usually takes three years to eradicate something like honeysuckle or poison ivy so it's probably the same process with kudzu.

It's going to keep coming back from wherever its creeping in, though. Better figure on a serious plan of action with the neighboring property.
